We installed a second
fiber-optic system for the Dept. of Commerce in Washington, DC.
This system carried two video channels and four audio channels (two-way) between
their Production Studio and their Auditorium. |

We installed a new IMC for The
City of Midland, Texas. This is a "live" Public Safety EDACS radio
system. We installed the new IMC switch in parallel with the existing system and
then "cutover" on a Sunday morning. Total outage was about 10 seconds. |

We will be exhibiting at the Texas Association of Broadcaster's annual trade show

We installed a turnkey
fiber-optic transmission system for the Dept. of Commerce, Washington DC.
We supplied all of the equipment and fiber cable to provide four channels of video
and audio between their Production Studio and their Press Room in the Herbert C. Hoover
building. |

We continued installs at the City of
Stafford with more LAN cable drops and we pulled a fiber optic cable to connect
two buildings together. |

We exhibited in Washington DC
at the Government Video Technology Expo 98 in booth 610. This was the first
year for this show at we were pleased with the turnout. Our sincere thanks to

We shipped 24 digital video
fiber optic links to
China for the HeBei Province project. They were configured for
singlemode, with an output power of -6dBm at 1310nm. |

We just shipped a 48 channel (24 stereo pairs)
FIBOX system to China for the new HeBei Province Transmission Center.
In addition to the audio links, we are providing 24 channels of digital video
fiber optic links using the Lighthouse Digital VFL300 modules. A redundant power frame is being
designed for this project. This will link their Broadcast Center to their MPEG
Conversion Facility. |

Redundant power is now available for the FIBOX
rack mount multiple power supply, PS-MKVI. A second switching power supply is added,
along with "OR"ing diodes and front-panel status indicators for each supply.
Add -R to the part number: PS-MKVI-R. |

A trip to Changsha, China, the
capitol city of Hunan Province resulted in the customer buying more FIBOX equipment.
They will link their Broadcast Center to four different towers with FIBOX and singlemode
fiber optic cables; they are currently linking to two towers. |

We will be at BIRTV '98
in Beijing, China. Our booth number is 2073 and we will be showing the FIBOX
product line for the third year in a row. |

This month we upgraded the Ericsson EDACS
system at Fort Polk, Louisiana. This system has been in service
since 1991 and for a while, it was the busiest EDACS system in the world. |
