dati-sl6.gif (7466 bytes)Data Input Module.  The DATI-SL is a Slave module and must be connected to a FBAI-M Master module for proper operation.  A front panel rotary switch selects the signal type for transmission.  Only one basic signal type can be selected for transmission at any one time, however, eight static signals or switch contact closures can be sent simultaneously along with the RS422 or RS485 data signals.

dato-sl6.gif (7545 bytes)Data Output Module.  The DATO-SL is a Slave module and must be connected to a FBAI-M Master module for proper operation.  A front panel rotary switch selects the signal type for reception.
dot_clear.gif (46 bytes)Data Rates.  A 150kBit/sec data stream will have a jitter of 10%.  A 15.0kBit/sec data stream will have a jitter of 1%.
dot_clear.gif (46 bytes)Bi-Directional Data.  For full bi-directional data capability, two transmission systems must be operational, each transmitting in opposite directions.  This requires a minimum of two fibers, one for each direction of signal transmission.  An interlink cable, DAT-CBL, between the DATA I/O modules at each end of the system re-creates the bi-directional signal path for the data.
